Our Story

Oh, hey. My name is Demi and I am the owner of Demilition. I have been in the industry for just under 15 years. Around 5 years ago i decided to make another go at having my own salon (after a disastrous first attempt lol!) and 5 years later i am shocked at just how popular the salon has become.

Of course i would be no where without my team, each of my team i have trained from scratch. They all learnt from myself and although they all have their own wee quirks they still all work the Demilition way which to me I feel benefits clients as it means we all more or less work the same way. We are like a family we are super close and we love to wind each other up as well as all the laughs we have with clients, for such a small space the salon really is full of life, characters and talent.

But why the name?.. well my name is Demi and i wanted the salon name to be something people would remember and lets be honest youll always remember the name Demilition its not really your average is it? But its also a tribute to my late gran Mags as well as all the other family members that had to put up with me Demilition Demi was the nickname and if you knew me i suppose youd understand why, i really am like a wrecking ball haha!

Youve probs heard of my wee talented sidekick Danae, not only is she the most stunning girl on the outside she quite literally is the most kind heart sweetest soul who happens to be my wee cousin. Shes worked by my side since she was about 12 and although we used to fight like cat and dog we both grew up and i can quite honestly say OUR salon would be nothing without all her hard work. The salon is hers just as much as it is mine.

Now i really could rabble on about how amazing each and everyone of my girls but im going to let you all come visit us if you havnt already and figure it out for yourself!
